Fortunately, Wingard appears to have a strong creative team behind him. They have experience in a variety of genres, including action, horror, and science fiction, all of which are relevant to the MonsterVerse.
Wingard was keen to return for a sequel, so this is very welcome. Knowing the expectations would be high, Wingard was up for the challenge. He admitted that after seeing the giant lizard and monkey combine, he wanted to give fans an even bigger spectacle, and so far that seems to be the case.
