robotics engineer Aayan Agnihotri (Shahid Kapoor) travels to the United States to work on a new project for Maasi and his boss Urmila (Dimple Kapadia). There he is taken care of by Shifra (Kriti Sanon), a robot manager who is programmed to fall in love with her. And he does. However, when he learns of her reality, he becomes furious that she is being used for her clinical tests. However, he realizes that he is attracted to her and convinces Maasi to send her to India, only to find out that she faces the ultimate test - a crazy Indian big family (obsessed with marrying an Aryan). so that they can face the challenge of surviving. Whether he can live a happy life with a nearly perfect robot is the rest of the story.
Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah deliver a fresh, refreshing and fun concept in a quirky setting. The laughs here are in the absurd situations the human-robot pair encounters along the way. However, the story takes a long time to build and the scenes involving Aryan's family with Shifra are too long. Towards the end, the story accelerates with major developments.
A concept is unique, but when you try to build a story around it, the story often goes in circles. The film also covers the debate between humans and machines and the responsible use of AI and robots. This aspect seems rushed and ends quickly. This movie makes you laugh, mainly because of the characters' reactions. The humor lies not so much in the dialogue itself but in its delivery and timing, particularly in the goofy and very well-written exchanges between Aryan and his friend and colleague Monty (Ashish Verma).
